Rotary Newcastle Charity Bike Ride - Saturday 22 September

Up to 300 cyclists will participate in the Rotary Charity bike ride leaving from Queens Wharf, Newcastle at 6:30am to finish at Jubilee Park in Dungog.

Cyclists will ride 90km from Newcastle to Dungog travelling via Wharf Rd, Workshop Way, Honeysuckle Dr, Hannell St, Industrial Dr, Maitland Rd, Pacific Hwy (Hexham Bridge), The Bucketts Way, Limeburners Creek Rd, Glen Martin Rd, Pine Brush Rd, Alison Rd and Stroud Hill Rd.

Stop/Slow conditions will be in place on Maitland Rd approaching Hexham Bridge, Pacific Hwy between 6am and 10am as cyclists travel across the bridge under traffic control. The speed limit will also be reduced from 80km/h to 40km/h.

Motorists should allow extra travel time as intermittent delays are expected. Motorists are also reminded to exercise caution and allow 1.5m distance when passing a cyclist.
