The annual Sculpture by the Sea event attracts up to 500,000 visitors to Bondi Beach over the 18-day exhibition from 18 October to 4 November.

Traffic will be heavy on roads approaching, and around, Bondi Beach including Bondi Rd, Old South Head Rd, Military Rd and Campbell Pde, particularly on Thursday’s, Friday’s and each weekend of the event. Motorists who need to travel in the area should allow plenty of extra travel time and expect delays.

Special event clearways will be in place along both sides of Bondi Road each weekend of the event including 20-21 Oct, 27-28 Oct and 3-4 Nov:

- From 7am to 2pm along Bondi Rd from Oxford St down to Sandridge St.

- From 12pm to 8pm along Bondi Rd from Sandridge St up to Oxford St.

Clearways are strict no-parking zones, and apply even to local residents or RMS Mobility Scheme Permit holders. Check signs carefully as vehicles left in clearways will be towed and a fee applies.

Local roads will be closed to general traffic around Bondi, Bronte and Tamarama from 7:30am to 6:30pm each day. Local resident access will be maintained and managed by Waverley Council. Some of these roads will become one-way only for the duration of the event from 9am, 18 October to 10am, 5 November.
